Earthdance 2010 Johannesburg

On the 18th of September we celebrated the annual global Earthdance at the Crocodile Cradle Waterfront on the banks of the Crocodile River, North of Johannesburg.

The many bands and DJ's supplied the music for the gentle happy crowd to dance away the day and night. After sunset, bonfires lit up the riverfront, adding atmosphere and warming against the cool temperature.

As it became the annual tradition, I had the privilege to lead the opening ceremony and the Global Link-up Ceremony at 1.00 am Sunday morning. This always touching my soul, seeing the hundreds of faces around me with smiles, then with closed eyes as we do the blessings and connecting with a millions of others around the world.
Yes, it is special, no one's spirit is untouched by the good-will, the kindness and the wonderful feeling of sharing this with each other.

We all need to say thank you to Diana K., as she organises Earthdance every year, giving us this great gift of sharing joy with each other. She is really to be admired!

Earthdancers, you are beautiful! It was a delight to share time and space with you again!

Animal Anti-Cruelty Demonstration

Our animal anti-cruelty/anti-fur demonstration with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Fur Free and the South African Naturist Federation (SANFED) was an unprecedented local and international success at Hyde Park, Johannesburg on the 8th og July 2010.

Every TV/film crew and reporters, photographers etc. from all corners of the world present for the Football World Cup-South Africa 2010 took footage and interviews of our demonstration.
There were hundreds of them!

It was a most effective exposure of the terrible cruelty animals suffer from at the hands of those sub-human breeders/fur traders in China and other places. Only international awareness can stop the carnage where animals are skinned alive for their fur.

As at the demonstration we applied the slogan "I'd rather be naked than wear fur" literally, the nudity aspect created an impact beyond expectations. It is amazing the kind of hype and attention half a hundred (almost) nude bodies can create!

The organisation of the event was superb, and all of us had an amazing and delightful experience. Body painting is a real art form, and creating it is just as much fun as the end result!

The Zodiac sign in which we are born transmits to us all the negative and positive traits that we will need to effect our own transformation. However, the signs of the Zodiac are not the cause of our personality traits; they are the effect. Our karma from previous lives determines which sign we need to be born under in order to acquire the necessary traits and attributes that will allow us to correct and transform previous negative activity.

Swimming and connecting with dolphins is a most incredible and healing experience. It is hard to describe how we are touched when we are befriended by these beautiful, friendly creatures of the deep who welcome us so openly into their world.

3 dolphin launches are included (weather permitting).

George-Gabriel Berkovits (Soulhealer), holistic teacher and life coach with years of experience in many healing modalities will be facilitating 2/3 hr workshops on two of the days :

SOULHEALING – WHO ARE WE? –THE MIND–THE POWER : We have infinite riches within our reach. To gain them, all we have to do is open our mental eyes and behold the treasure house of infinity within ourselves and our own potential to live life gloriously, joyously and abundantly.

SOULHEALING - SPIRITUAL TEACHING - WE, THE UNIVERSE : We get an insight and an understanding of "Who We Really Are", and how we relate to "The Big Picture". When we get a grasp of the reality that "we are all One", we lose the illusion of separation. Spiritual teaching will give an answer to how and why we have been created, what our purpose is, what we are doing in our lives, why we are going through all our experiences and what to do when we want to master life.

Nia is a revolutionary fitness technique that replaces the usual idea of “no pain no gain”. Nia tones and trims through gentle dance movements to beautiful music which heals not only the body but mind and spirit. At the end of the session you can expect to feel a warm glow all over the body and yet energized – it is amazing!!

I will be facilitating a Dolphin Meditation, a drum workshop and a poi (firedancing) workshop for those who are keen, and will entertain you all with a firedancing show!

You can choose to swim in the warm sea, walk or relax on the beach or in the dolphin camp where we'll be staying (right on the beach) or explore the village of Ponta d'Oura and their craft markets.

The 5 days / 4 nights package which includes all of the above, border transfers, snorkelling course and brunch & dinner each day and accommodation is :

Naturist Weekend 20-22 March 2010

Hello Gauteng Naturists,

We are organising a naturist long-weekend at Smoke Nature Farm (on route R511 towards Hartbeesport, 25 mins from Fourways Mall, Johannesburg).
The event will be themed around healing, where massage (full body), reiki, hypnotherapy, counselling, chakra & meridian balancing, Soulhealing will be available. Ever experienced a full body massage under the skies, surrounded by nature? Heaven!

Date: from Saturday 20 March, 10.00 am to Monday 22 March, 4.00 pm.

If you want to join us, please respond by e-mail (below) ASAP or phone me, also indicating if you’d like a healing session and what modality.

Accommodation: bring your tent or if you do not have one, you can sleep in the “common house”. You will still need your sleeping bag and mattress, as it is an empty room and we’ll kip on the floor. Toilet and shower facilities are naturally available.

Costs: Smoke will charge R50 per person per day.

Healing sessions are all one hour, costing R300 cash payment per session, regardless of what modalities are being used. A four-hand massage (we are planning to have several therapists) costs R600.

Food & drinks: please bring your coolie boxes with all your food and drinks, Smoke does not supply any. Braai facilities available, bring firewood.

Venue: Smoke Nature Farm. A beautiful large nature farm on the banks of Hennops River (swimmable!), 25 mins drive from Fourways Mall on William Nichol Dr. – R511 towards Hartbeesport. Detailed directions will be e-mailed to all interested parties.

What to bring: tent, sleeping bag, all your camping gear, torches, pots-pans-mugs (for open fire usage), camp chairs&table, hat, towels, mozzie net and repellent (like citronella). Bring your drums, guitars and musical instruments. Do not bring suntan lotion or sunblock as 90% sold in SA contain toxic chemicals and they are also cancer causing (you actually fell for the cosmetics/pharmaceuticals’ salespitch and lie that after a couple million years of working just fine the sun is causing the cancer, didn’t you?!).

Bring your family, children, grandma, grandpa, friends, anyone who enjoys nature, healing, being together with others sharing time and space in total freedom with gloriously unhidden Body, Mind and Spirit!
We want to show and promote naturism/nudism as what it really is, a wonderful, healthy and free lifestyle, and once social masks and symbols are removed, the warm and kind basic human characteristics prevail.
It is very difficult to be “not you” or putting on false pretences when you are naked and true as the day you were born! You will feel that “one-ness with all” stuff in a new dimension!

Especially those who are new to naturism are very welcome in this small and friendly circle.
Note: nudity will not be enforced, everyone need to choose their own pace.
